It's research week this week, which means I need to do research. Especially considering tomorrow is presentation day. I thought I'd post a pic of my oldest daughter's enormous cheer squad and do a little "mommy brag" while I'm at it. When I was in highschool (sniff, 16 years ago) I had absolutely NO clue how hard cheerleaders had to work. I don't think our cheerleaders did nearly as much tumbling as they do now, but learning the cheers, etc takes time. My oldest amazes me with her tumbling skills. Remember, I'm one who can't walk and chew gum so watching my daughter throw herself in the air and do a flip IN the air with no hands I am astonished (for those of you with cheer knowledge she can do a round off back tuck). She started back to privates again last night because they have a little less than a month until tryouts for next year. She takes privates, learns a new tumbling skill and then just sticks with that until next tryouts when she then begs for private lessons so she can learn something else. It irritates me a little, because if she had that devotion all year long we wouldn't have to do privates before tryouts every year. I am proud of her though. Here's the promised pic. I think they have 28 girls on the squad.
